DAY 1
Le Puy-en-Velay / Millau - 236km
Please let us know if you will be arriving the day before.
This road trip with a thousand landscapes begins by crossing the territory of the Beast of Gévaudan to Mont Lozère, the source of the Tarn river, north of Pont de Monvert, to arrive at Millau. You will enter the restricted circle of bikers who can claim to have travelled the Gorges du Tarn from its source.
DAY 2
Millau loop - 168km
Don’t choose this day to lie in ! Today is a long circuit that takes you through some beautiful scenery.
There are so many evocative names along your way : Le Causse Noir, the Gorges de la Jonte, Prat de Peyrot pass, Asclie pass, Mont Aigoual, Serreyrède pass, the Gorges de la Dourbie.
What more can we tell you… have a good trip !
DAY 3
Millau / Arles - 226km
The Cévennes will quickly fade behind you, not before having said a goodbye through the Cirque de Navacelles and the Gorges de la Vis.
Little by little, your motorcycle will transfom into a horse and your motorcycle helmet into a knight's helmet as you enter the territory of Montpellier Seigneury.
The castles of Notre Dame de Londres, Sommières then Villevieille will be your next conquests. The clock will go back in time to the Roman Empire. In Arles, as you approach the arena, your motorcycle helmet will be transformed into a gladiator's helmet !
At last….The Camargue !
DAY 4
Arles / Gordes - 185km
On this journey, as you cross the Camargue Nature Reserve, you will encounter wild horses, Camargue cows and pink flamingos.
Les Salins de Giraud will be your southernmost point on this road trip. Before too long you will enter the Regional Natural Park of the Alpilles with its famous village of Baux-de-Provence.
The ascent to the north continues to the Plateau de Vaucluse. The village of Fontaine de Vaucluse then the Gorges of the Nesque will conclude this route.
DAY 5
Gordes / Le Moustier Ste Marie - 221km
You will leave Gordes and the Lubéron Natural Park for the Gorges of Verdon road.
All along this route are amazing viewpoints that will take your breath away as you head to Le Moustier Ste Marie, one of famous most beautiful village in France
As you can see, this day still gives pride of place to the scenery.
DAY 6
Digne les Bains / Sault - 217km
You will find the Napoleon road to the town of Sisteron. You will be charmed by the rich geology and landscapes !
Not only beautiful, but also geologically fascinating, you will visit the "Sommet de Lure" and the Jabron forest, and also the Gorges of the Nesque.
DAY 7
Sault / Les Vans - 184km
The ascent of Mont Ventoux will put you in mind of a lunar landscape. Admire the geology ! You come back down to planet Earth at Vaison-la-Romaine where you will cross the Rhone again.
And now… the moment you’ve been waiting for… in the distance you should be able to see the silhouette of the Ardeche Valley that will take you down to the Vallon-Pont d’Arc. Enjoy!
DAY 8
Les Vans / Le Puy-en-Velay - 174km
The departure point in Les Vans is located in the Cévennes d'Ardèche which stretch from the Massif du Tanargue and the foothills of the Cévennes to the limestone plateau of Grads. You will be charmed by the rich geology and breathtaking landscapes.
Taking a few detours, you will reach the medieval city of Largentière. From there, it is a road with a thousand bends that will lead you to Mont Mezenc via the Col de la Croix de Bauzon and Mont Gerbier de Jonc, the source of the Loire river.
After passing through the magnificent little village of Mazan’l’Abbaye, you will get some respite for your arms as you travel through the well known Tunnel du Roux, very straight and 3336 meters long.
From now on it is all downhill until you reach your destination at the Pays Vellave where you will arrive with many good souvenirs of an excellent trip in your head.
DAY 9
Le Puy-en-Velay
Your road trip is over. It will be time to say goodbye after a last breakfast together.
A guided tour of Puy-en-Velay as well as access to the Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe rock and to the Virgin are possible if you wish to delay your departure by a few hours.
